CONCERT BLAST EXPERIENCES ©
The idea of Concert Blast was created by Mike Arnold. One day while listening to a sports talk radio show, Mike thought of an idea of creating a music talk radio program in which callers could discuss favorite concerts, performers, and songs. Mike approached several radio companies, but there were no takers. Years later, Mike discovered a new internet form of media called podcasting. Mike contacted a couple of friends who loved concerts that he grew up with and in May of 2005, Concert Blast published their first audio podcast. Since then there have been over 160 audio shows produced on Concert Reviews, Interviews with the artists, and Music Discussions. Concert Blast have interviewed many rock artists as REO Speedwagon, Eddie Money, Rick Springfield, as well as members from such bands as Alice Cooper, Blondie, Grand Funk Railroad, Jethro Tull, Train, and many others. Concert Blast have covered many music festivals as Bonnaroo, CMA Fest, Memphis In May Beale Street Music Festival, and others. They have also been accepted as media to review many concerts as Paul McCartney, Aerosmith, Journey, Paul Rodgers, Night Ranger, Cheap Trick, Foreigner, Joan Jett, and many more. The Classic Rock Section of About.com have recognized Concert Blast to be one of the Top Classic Rock Podcasts. In 2008, Concert Blast was nominated as one of the People's Choice Podcast Awards. In 2009, Concert Blast stopped the weekly podcast format in order to allow the podcast's producer/editor, Mike Arnold, write his book on their adventures through Concert Blast. Long time concert friend, James Downing, joined the team to add his blogging skills of concert reviews. In 2010, Concert Blast is back and plans to provide many audio/video podcasts for their listeners and readers. Who knows what the future holds for Concert Blast. Maybe a reality TV show on their adventures or a major motion picture from their experiences. STAY TUNED!!!
