Winter Jam 2011 Nashville, TN
Mike Arnold and Brian Hasbrook of Concert Blast were on hand at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN to enjoy and review the Winter Jam 2011 concert. This was a night of various styles of Contemporary Christian music and Mike and Brian loved this evening. With ten acts performing short sets of their new and popular tunes. The acts on the Nashville tour stop were; Newsboys, Kutless, David Crowder Band, Francesca Battistelli, Newsong, Red, Sidewalk Prophets, Chris August, Jason Castro, and several guest appearances from Christian Rapper, KJ52. For the second year in a row I was invited to work as the script supervisor for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions and of course, I obliged. I always love hearing my friends tell me to make sure to tell someone to induct __________ (insert favorite rock group) into the Hall. (Usually KISS or RUSH) I’m not sure exactly how the nominations go about, and while I have my own feelings about some of the great groups that have been left out (Eagles, Heart, Journey & oh so many more), I was fairly satisfied with this years group of inductees.

Rick Springfield In Concert - Nashville, TN
It was Friday March 11, 2011 when Rick Springfield made his yearly appearance to the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN to perform his energetic rock set for the fans who came in from various cities on the east coast.
Mike Arnold and James Downing of Concert Blast were on hand to record a concert review audio podcast on the evening. Since Brian Hasbrook and Tom Thompson were out of town, they invited one of their friends to join them as a special guest host, singer/songwriter/performer Donna Frost. During the concert review discussion, long-time Concert Blast friend Sue Street joined them for the discussion.

Here’s Part 5 of our 2010 Concert Blast Posts. This video takes you through our experiences in Memphis, TN with REO Speedwagon and Pat Benatar, in Nashville, TN at the Bridgstone Arena with the Scorpions and Ratt, Paul McCartney, as well as Crosby, Stills, and Nash with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. There was the Heart Concert at the Ryman, the Michael Bolton concert at the Wildhorse Saloon as well Hard Rockers Cinderella also at the Wildhorse Saloon. We also covered the Americana Music Festival shows from the Cannery which was a lot of fun!
