Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers In Concert - Nashville, TN 9/23/2014
It was Tuesday September 23rd in Nashville, TN while thousands of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fans were very excited to see one of the best singer/songwriters in the Classic Rock Music genre… and one of the very few rockers from that era that still releases (and sells) new music today. Concert Blast was invited to the Nashville party with photo credentials so our friend Samantha Shrader stepped up to help us out once again to take the concert photos of Tom Petty and his Heartbreakers, since Brian Hasbrook was out of town. Journey (Neal Schon) In Concert - Nashville, TN 9/12/2014
It was a magical Friday night in Nashville, TN as Journey returned to the Music City. The city of Nashville is full of Journey fans and they came out to party and sing-along with Concert Blast and about 14,000 other lovers of 70′s/80′s rock music. Mike Arnold was on hand for the review while Tom Thompson had a prior engagement and photographer Brian Hasbrook was out of town. So who do we always go to first to get the best concert photos when Brian is not available? Sam Shrader of course. 2014 Memphis In May Beale Street Music Festival
After all the fun of covering a festival, comes the work! Now that we have weeded out and edited the hundreds of photographs, check out the 2014 Memphis In May Photos from Brian Hasbrook, Tom Thompson, and Mike Arnold. Here are two slide shows of this year’s festival photos. Mike took shots mainly of the fans, Tom took shots of various acts such as; Buddy Guy, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and Los Rabanes. Brian’s photos consists of Foster the People, Third Eye Blind, Fitz & the Tantrums, Dropkick Murphys, Dickie Betts & Great Southern, AER, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Jerry Lee Lewis, Wolfmother, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Kid Rock. Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top
Concert Blast was invited to cover the 2014 Musicians Hall of Fame Ceremony and Show so Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson jumped at the chance to cover this annual event again. Unfortunately our main photographer, Brian Hasbrook, was out of town, so Mike Arnold and Concert Blast friend Allen Atkinson took over the duties. Those inducted were; Peter Frampton, Randy Bachman, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Capps, Barbara Mandrell, Ben Keith, Will Lee, Corki Casey O’Dell, Velma Smith, and Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble. The 2014 Iconic Riff Award went to Roy Orbison for the famous riff in his rock hit, “Pretty Woman”. The 2014 Industry Icon Award was awarded to Mike Curb who created his own record label at the age of 18 and gained national attention a year later. Others at the show to help with the ceremony were; ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Neil Young, Don Felder, Billy Cox, Steve Wariner, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Oak Ridge Boys, Duane Eddy, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Chris Isaak, and Brenda Lee. The Back of The Roys' Tour Bus
You may see this post and ask yourself, “What in the world is this?” Actually Christmas 4 Kids Bus Tour is a way for fans to see the tour buses that musicians live on while on tour. Not only does the fan get to walk into the living quarters of the artists, but the artists are also on the buses ready to meet and greet the fans, sign autographs, and take photos with them. Every year this event takes place to raise money for under privileged children in the Nashville TN area. Each selected child will receive $150 to spend at the Hendersonville, TN Walmart (where the buses were parked). This is a great way to raise money so these children may enjoy Christmas and for fans to meet many music artists. Enjoy the photos taken by Mike Arnold.

Vintage Trouble in Concert - Nashville, TN 10/18/2013
Vintage Trouble headlined the first annual Marathon Music Village Festival and Concert Blast was on hand to cover the fun activities. This one day festival on the cool October Friday night in Nashville, TN included various food trucks, multiple bands, plenty of merchandise booths, lots of beer, and a Bar-B-Que buffet for the VIP patrons. Concert Blast was given all access passes, which surprised us because we had full access to go anywhere we wanted… and we loved it! Enjoy the Vintage Trouble photos taken by Brian Hasbrook.

Jason Bonham In Concert - Nashville, TN
On Saturday August 3rd 2013, Jason Bonham made a tour stop in Nashville, TN to perform with his Led Zeppelin Experience at the War Memorial Auditorium. Jason brought his A-Game along with excellent musicians which included a singer that was as close as it gets to younger Robert Plant vocals. Concert Blast was invited to cover this event, but Mike Arnold was the only one who was available to work the show. Brian Hasbrook had to get ready to leave town while Tom Thompson had just left town for a vacation. Special thanks to the friendly staff at the War Memorial Auditorium for tracking down Jason’s tour manager so he could approve a photo pass for Mike. Enjoy his Concert Photos!

Laura Wilde In Concert
Concert Blast was invited to cover the Ted Nugent concert in Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium. We noticed that there was an announced opening act that we didn’t know much about. Once the research began on Laura Wilde, we became excited not only to cover her show, but to enjoy her concert. We were also thrilled to have been accepted to have a pre-show interview with the twenty-three year old lead guitarist from Australia. Not only was she a lot of fun to talk with, her album called “Sold My Soul” had the 70s rock sound that is missing from today’s radio. On Sunday, July 28 2013, Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson of Concert Blast experienced something they had been waiting to see again since 1977. Ted Nugent and the fabulous singing voice of Derek St. Holmes touring together. Ted Nugent has always been a great show man and an excellent guitarist, but the voice behind Ted’s music is none other than Derek St. Holmes. We’ve seen Ted several times without Derek and there’s no comparison. Mike Arnold took the photos of this historic evening at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN… ENJOY!

The Monkees returned to Nashville, TN to perform at the historic Ryman Auditorium. This is the first time in many years that the three surviving members of the The Monkees toured together. Concert Blast was invited to cover this event, so Mike Arnold headed to downtown Nashville, TN to join in on the fun that was created by these former TV stars (and the fans)… and he’s definitely glad he did.
