Rick Springfield Returns To Play Nashville, TN Valentine’s Day Weekend (BLOG)
Written by Tom Thompson
It’s Rick Springfield’s yearly visit to the world’s famous Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN. This was one great night filled with Rick Springfield music. This year he made it easier for the Nashville men to charm their Classic Rock ladies for Valentines by taking them to one of his two dynamic shows. Not only does Rick Springfield have the charisma for the ladies, but he’s a hard rocking guitarist for the guys.
Rick Springfield definitely proved he’s a rocker during his two concerts he performed in Nashville. Rick began his Friday night show with Who Killed Rock and Roll, rocked through the night with his classic hits as Jessie’s Girl, I’ve Done Everything For You, Affair of the Heart, and many more. He the night ended with a fan favorite which he penned only a few years ago, Wasted.

If you’ve never seen Rick Springfield in concert before, be assured that he will definitely give you your money’s worth. On any given night you will hear Rick perform covers (Crossroads, My Generation, Wild Thing, among others), bring a kid from the crowd on stage to talk to them and get them sing (usually during the hit Don’t Talk To Strangers), and perform as he wonders through the crowd (walking on the tables and going up to the balcony at the Wildhorse Saloon). The only negative about Rick is he may spill some profanity throughout the night. The crowd at the Wildhorse Saloon didn’t seem to mind. The Nashville crowd couldn’t get enough of the Rick Springfield concert experience as well as the Rick Springfield music.

Hey guys. Great to finally read your review on the show. Just wanted to correct one thing about your review. Rick started both nights off with Mr PC from his Venus In Overdrive record which came out last year. He did do Who Killed Rock And Roll as an encore the second night.
Great to have you guys back!!!!
James

Thanks James for the correction. That’s what happens when Tom doesn’t take notes of the set list.
Great to hear from you!
