It was Friday, October 8th 2010 when Jason and the Scorchers made their long awaited return to Nashville, TN to play The Mercy Lounge. Before the band’s sound check, Mike, Brian, and James met with Jason Ringenberg and Warner Hodges for a short interview as they traveled down memory lane.
The show started about 9:40pm with Brian on one side of the stage, James on the other side of the stage and Mike in the middle. Brian and James had their cameras ready while Mike was ready with his mic to record any special live audio clips for the podcast (and there were several).
To the guy’s surprise, there was not an opening act, but there were a couple of special guests who joined them on stage. High Energy performer Stacie Collins joined the first set for a few songs as she thrilled the crowd with her stage presence, vocals, and harmonica playing. Dan Baird also joined the Scorchers for a couple of numbers playing guitar and sharing the vocals.
Jason and the Scorchers performed approximately three hours during their two high-energy sets with superb backup harmonies from bassist Al C ollins while Swedish drummer Pontus Snibb pounded the beats throughout the evening with intensity showing the band and the crowd that he can last through a Scorchers live set without a problem at all.

The night consisted of old favorites and nearly every song from the critically acclaimed CD, Halcyon Times. This is one rocking CD with tons of slick guitar riffs, occasional harmony vocals, and plenty of songwriting hooks that will keep you listening for more.
