It was Sunday, the last day/night of the 2014 CMA Music Festival and Concert Blast was there to cover the fun. The acts on this last night consisted of Charlie Daniels Band, Thomas Rhett, Lady Antebellum, Hunter Hayes, Zac Brown Band, and Brad Paisley. As the guys from Concert Blast reflect back on the coverage performed in 2013, we thought it would be better to show you with hundreds of photographs taken throughout the year in a video segment. The year’s photo coverage began with an interview with singer/songwriter/actress Jewel from our guest blogger/photographer friend Samantha Shrader and ended with Mike Arnold‘s visit to the annual Christmas 4 Kids benefit touring of tour buses. This year also included the Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival, the CMA Music Festival, and the K-Love Fan Awards, along with numerous concerts, interviews, and CD reviews throughout the year. Fans From Australia - CMA Music Festival 2013
As we approached the last night of the CMA Music Festival 2013, we were sadden to see it all come to a close, but we were even more saddened to experience the sets that were shortened due to the threat of the bad weather which was approaching downtown Nashville, TN. This Sunday night Concert Blast staff consisted of Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson. And our guest Will Perry, as he substituted for the ill Brian Hasbrook. Carrie Underwood In Concert - CMA Music Festival 2013
It was the final night of the CMA Music Festival 2013 at LP Field in Nashville, TN, as the best festival in country music comes to a close. On this night the Concert Blast staff of Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson, and guest Will Perry took the field for the coverage. On this night we didn’t have as many photos due to everyone’s set being cut short. Brad Paisley and The Band Perry performed only two songs while Jake Owen was allowed only one song. The headliner Carrie Underwood got to perform longer, but not her usual CMA Music Fest set. Why the short sets? Because the weather people predicted major storms coming, so they wanted to video all the acts for the upcoming ABC TV Special (August 12th) before the rain hits the stadium. On Saturday July 7th, Ringo Starr turned 72 years of age. He spent the evening of his birthday working in Nashville, TN at the historic Ryman Auditorium as he performed with his All Starr Band to a Sold-Out crowd. On this tour, the band consisted of Todd Rundgren on guitar, Richard Page (Mister Mister) on bass, Steve Lukather (Toto) on lead guitar, Gregg Rolie (Santana, Journey) on Hammond B-3 Organ and Keyboards, Mark Rivera (Billy Joel) on saxophone, keyboards, and percussion, and touring drummer Greg Bissonette. CMA Music Fest 2012 - Miranda Lambert
Thursday Night June 7th 2012 was the opening night of the CMA Music Fest stadium concerts. The original Concert Blast team of Mike Arnold, Brian Hasbrook, and Tom Thompson were on hand for the coverage. We love covering music festivals and the CMA Music Fest is one of the best. It was our annunal return to the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN. On this first night of the Stadium concerts, Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson, and James Downing were on hand to cover the best event in Country Music. Special guest host Charity Taylor also joined the staff as a helper on this night of fun.
