For the second year in a row I was invited to work as the script supervisor for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions and of course, I obliged. I always love hearing my friends tell me to make sure to tell someone to induct __________ (insert favorite rock group) into the Hall. (Usually KISS or RUSH) I’m not sure exactly how the nominations go about, and while I have my own feelings about some of the great groups that have been left out (Eagles, Heart, Journey & oh so many more), I was fairly satisfied with this years group of inductees.

While the concert touring season has slowed down for the winter, I thought it would be nice to show our listening audiences what we went through in 2010. I created multiple videos of our experiences with a month by month journey of our adventures.
Here’s Part 1 of our 2010 Concert Blast Posts. This video contains an Intro of our hosts (with the song “Shine” from the Newsboys) and then carries you through the months of January through April.

It was Saturday, June 13th 2009, Mike Arnold, Brian Hasbrook, and Steve Vallar head south from Nashville, TN to the big town of Manchester, TN. Well, a big town for the weekend as approx. 100,000 visitors flood Coffee County for the yearly music festival, Bonnaroo.
This is our 4th time to cover the event. Unfortunately, this year we were scheduled to cover another favorite music festival, CMA Fest in Nashville. This had us scrambling to get extra help. Tom and his helpers covered the CMA Fest, while Mike, Brian, and helper Steve covered Bonnaroo.
It was a wonderful time as Concert Blast returned to podcasting live at Bonnaroo during Saturday’s events. The coverage Show Notes are as follows… Booker T and the DBTs (Drive By Truckers), Bon Iver, Media Press Conference, Cherry Holmes, Jenny Lewis, Elvis Costello, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
The surprise performance of the year was Jenny Lewis. Elvis Costello and Bruce Springsteen already had a long standing reputation of their great live performances.
