Concert Blast in the Media Trailer at Memphis in May 2013
On this fourth Concert Blast Webisode we explain that during the opening night of the Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival, Sheryl Crow was the first of three acts for the entire weekend to refuse the photographers from taking concert photos of her show. The photographers in the media trailer were very upset on this decision and you will see and hear their rants about her. Brian Hasbrook explains the photo pit access while Tom Thompson and Mike Arnold pick on Brian for not taking photos of Sheryl from the middle of the crowd. Carrie Underwood In Concert - CMA Music Festival 2013
It was the final night of the CMA Music Festival 2013 at LP Field in Nashville, TN, as the best festival in country music comes to a close. On this night the Concert Blast staff of Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson, and guest Will Perry took the field for the coverage. On this night we didn’t have as many photos due to everyone’s set being cut short. Brad Paisley and The Band Perry performed only two songs while Jake Owen was allowed only one song. The headliner Carrie Underwood got to perform longer, but not her usual CMA Music Fest set. Why the short sets? Because the weather people predicted major storms coming, so they wanted to video all the acts for the upcoming ABC TV Special (August 12th) before the rain hits the stadium. It was Saturday night, the third night of the CMA Music Festival 2013 stadium concerts, and of course Concert Blast was there to cover the shows… well Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson were. Brian Hasbrook called in sick for the remainder of the festival, which means that the excellent photos from Brian that we always rely on will be missing. Tom had to step in as the emergency photographer and Mike took a few shots as well, as we tried to capture our best of the night. Our photo work doesn’t compare to Brian Hasbrook or Samantha Shrader, but we did out best to give you our best photo coverage of the night. On this night of the CMA Music Festival we covered Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Kelly Clarkson (with her guests Trisha Yearwood and Jason Aldean), and the surprise guest performer of the night, Lenny Kravitz. The night was also co-hosted by Willie, Jase, and Si Robertson from the TV show Duck Dynasty. There were also some photos of two members of Little Big Town as they announced a performer taking the stage for the ABC TV special footage. Sheryl Crow with Little Big Town - CMA Music Festival 2013

Miranda Lambert- CMA Music Festival 2013
Every year around the second weekend of June, the CMA Music Festival puts on a party for the country music fans in Nashville, TN and Concert Blast is invited! The daytime is filled with fan club parties, concerts, and meet and greets. The best thing we appreciate is the nightly concerts at the stadium where the Tennessee Titans play, LP Field. On the very first night of the concerts, top billing headliners performed about a 30 minute set each to thrill us all. The acts on the Thursday night Concert held on 6/6/2013 included; (in order) Tracy Lawrence, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and the Zac Brown Band. Yngwie Malmsteen In Concert
Concert Blast returned to Memphis, TN to cover the Beale Street Music Festival again this year. A major part of the coverage is the work of expert concert photographer Brian Hasbrook. While Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson were busy cutting up with the festival fans and covering the audio commentary portion of the music acts, Brian was busy trying to meet the demands of being on time at as many stages as possible to take photos from the pit in front of the stage. This is part one of Brian’s work from Friday night’s acts which includes; The Joy Formidable, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deftones, Daryl Hall & John Oates and The Wallflowers. Elton John In Concert - Nashville, TN - Bridgestone Arena - 4/5/2013
Piano expert/singer/songwriter Elton John returned to Nashville, TN to excite his fans of young and old to a greatest hits concert on 4/5/2013. Elton used to visit Nashville on every tour that reached the Southeast, but it has been a while since he’s visited the Music City. Although Concert Blast wasn’t granted concert review passes for this show, Elton’s management did grant us a photo pass. Our Concert Blast friend (and excellent photographer) Samantha Shrader took on the duties of helping us out for the night. Check out her photos!

Jason and the Scorchers In Concert
Perry Baggs, former drummer of Jason and the Scorchers, passed away from kidney failure and complications from diabetes on July 12, 2012. Several Nashville based musicians contributed their time, energy, and talent to provide a way for the family of Perry Baggs to be able to give his body a proper burial. Over 500 rock music fans and friends of Perry Baggs packed Nashville’s historic rock music club, the Exit In, by contibuting $20 for the admission ticket to help with this cause and to have a fun time remembering the music and life of Perry Baggs. Mike Arnold was on hand to take the photos of this night… ENJOY!
