The 2014 CMA Music Festival put another shot in the arm of the Nashville, TN economy and Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson, and Will Perry (substituting for Brian Hasbrook) of Concert Blast was there to cover as many events as they could. Enjoy the Thursday night stadium show coverage with plenty of live clips and fun with the attendees. Concerts covered were (in order); Alabama, Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert, Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, and headliner Tim McGraw. As the guys from Concert Blast reflect back on the coverage performed in 2013, we thought it would be better to show you with hundreds of photographs taken throughout the year in a video segment. The year’s photo coverage began with an interview with singer/songwriter/actress Jewel from our guest blogger/photographer friend Samantha Shrader and ended with Mike Arnold‘s visit to the annual Christmas 4 Kids benefit touring of tour buses. This year also included the Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival, the CMA Music Festival, and the K-Love Fan Awards, along with numerous concerts, interviews, and CD reviews throughout the year. Enjoy this video of the Concert Blast 2013 Flashback and Happy New Year from Mike Arnold, Brian Hasbrook, and Tom Thompson!

Concert Blast Los Angeles Friends at the CMA Music Fest 2013 - Saturday 6/8/2013
It was night three, Saturday, during the stadium concerts that the CMA Music Festival 2013 got the biggest surprise on the history of the festival and Concert Blast was there to cover it. There were the guest hosts of the night with Willie, Jase, and Si Robertson from the popular TV Show, Duck Dynasty, but that wasn’t the biggest surprise. The Country Music Festival was turned into a rock and roll party as super rocker, Lenny Kravitz made an appearance to see how country fans liked rocking. They like it for about 15 to 20 minutes before they had enough and was ready to get back to the country side of life. Listen to this podcast (or read this blog) from Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson as they covered (in order) Florida Georgia Line, Lenny Kravitz, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, and headliner Keith Urban, not to mention the other surprise guests and the fans we talked with… ENJOY!

It was Saturday night, the third night of the CMA Music Festival 2013 stadium concerts, and of course Concert Blast was there to cover the shows… well Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson were. Brian Hasbrook called in sick for the remainder of the festival, which means that the excellent photos from Brian that we always rely on will be missing. Tom had to step in as the emergency photographer and Mike took a few shots as well, as we tried to capture our best of the night. Our photo work doesn’t compare to Brian Hasbrook or Samantha Shrader, but we did out best to give you our best photo coverage of the night. On this night of the CMA Music Festival we covered Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Kelly Clarkson (with her guests Trisha Yearwood and Jason Aldean), and the surprise guest performer of the night, Lenny Kravitz. The night was also co-hosted by Willie, Jase, and Si Robertson from the TV show Duck Dynasty. There were also some photos of two members of Little Big Town as they announced a performer taking the stage for the ABC TV special footage. Enjoy Tom Thompson and Mike Arnold‘s photos from Saturday night’s CMA Music Festival 2013.

For the last 14 years, the CMA Awards have consistently been one of my favorite projects to be a part of. I can only think of one show (the Grammys) that brings together the amount of talent and diversity that this one does. Each year brings it’s own set of interesting performances and results, and this year was no different. So, let’s get right to it!
