Ian Anderson and tour band 2014
Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson returned to Nashville, TN to play the historic Ryman Auditorium for the second straight year. This year Concert Blast was invited to review the concert so Mike Arnold and Brian Hasbrook headed downtown Nashville, TN to review one of Brian’s all time favorite performers, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. Since photo passes weren’t being issued for this tour, Brian got to enjoy this show while Mike took the notes for the concert review. Enjoy the review!

Laura Wilde with Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson of Concert Blast
It was time for Concert Blast to visit the Ryman Auditorium again in Nashville, TN. This time it was a pre-sound check interview with the twenty-three year old blonde beauty guitar slinger from Australia, Laura Wilde. Laura was in Nashville as the opening act on the Ted Nugent tour. Although Laura is only twenty-three, her rock and roll musical tastes and knowledge goes way back. Laura can carry on a conversation as if she grew up in the 1970s like the hosts of Concert Blast did. Tom Thompson and Mike Arnold arrived early to the concert to head backstage to Laura’s band dressing room to conduct this fun interview. Ted Nugent In Concert - Nashville, TN Ryman Auditorium 7/28/2013
The Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent, returned to one of his favorite cities to rock, Nashville, TN, to perform his show at the mother church of country music, The Ryman Auditorium. It’s ironic to say the word “Church” and Ted Nugent in the same sentence! Ted Nugent didn’t calm down his profanity filled concert while performing in one of Nashville’s first churches. If he did calm it down, then I wouldn’t want to see the normal performance! Concert Blast was invited to this performance to cover the Motor City Madmouth… uh… I mean Madman and we were excited. The main things we were excited about was seeing one of our favorite rock singers, Derek St. Holmes, perform the songs he helped made famous in front of a large excited crowd, and to interview the opening act, the young rock beauty from Australia, Laura Wilde. The Monkees In Concert - Nashville, TN
Concert Blast was invited to cover The Monkees in concert as they returned to Nashville, TN to perform at the historic Ryman Auditorium. With The Monkees touring without Davy Jones, many fans were wondering how good could it be. Other devoted fans of Davy Jones can’t imagine seeing them in concert without the main front man. Mike Arnold was available to capture this event and he’s glad he went. Not only did the artists make this event a fun show, the enthusiasm of those in attendance added to the atmosphere to bring this party to life! Laura Wilde In Concert
Concert Blast was invited to cover the Ted Nugent concert in Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium. We noticed that there was an announced opening act that we didn’t know much about. Once the research began on Laura Wilde, we became excited not only to cover her show, but to enjoy her concert. We were also thrilled to have been accepted to have a pre-show interview with the twenty-three year old lead guitarist from Australia. Not only was she a lot of fun to talk with, her album called “Sold My Soul” had the 70s rock sound that is missing from today’s radio. On Sunday, July 28 2013, Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson of Concert Blast experienced something they had been waiting to see again since 1977. Ted Nugent and the fabulous singing voice of Derek St. Holmes touring together. Ted Nugent has always been a great show man and an excellent guitarist, but the voice behind Ted’s music is none other than Derek St. Holmes. We’ve seen Ted several times without Derek and there’s no comparison. Mike Arnold took the photos of this historic evening at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN… ENJOY!

The Monkees returned to Nashville, TN to perform at the historic Ryman Auditorium. This is the first time in many years that the three surviving members of the The Monkees toured together. Concert Blast was invited to cover this event, so Mike Arnold headed to downtown Nashville, TN to join in on the fun that was created by these former TV stars (and the fans)… and he’s definitely glad he did. Pat Benatar / Neil Giraldo
Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo returned to Nashville, TN for another rock performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Pat, Neil, Mick Mahan (bass), and Chris Ralles (drums) performed to about 2,000 fans from the 80′s rock music era. Since this was a last minute approval, Brian Hasbrook and Tom Thompson were already obligated for other personal events. This left Mike Arnold to perform all the duties (take photos, take notes for a review, and update our social media throughout the show). Mike called on our past Concert Blast guest blogger, Terri Gibson, to come to his aide. Terri obliged to attend the show and write the review. Thanks Terri! Mike and Sandra interviews Mike Weaver of Big Daddy Weave
On Saturday June 1st Contemporary Christian Radio Station K-Love presented its first Fan Awards. Concert Blast was invited to cover this event and they all had a great time. Mike Arnold and his wife, Sandra, covered the Red Carpet event by talking to almost all the artists that walked down the carpet. Those on our Red-Carpet podcast coverage included the hosts of the K-Love Awards, the Duck Dynasty cast of Jase and Missy Robertson, along with Phil and Ms. Kay Robertson. Contemporary Christian artists included are; Newsboys, Big Daddy Weave, The Afters, Sidewalk Prophets, Mandisa, Colton Dixon, Building 429, and many others, also from the film industry, Alex Kendrick (“Facing The Giants” and “Courageous“) and David Evans (Producer of the movie “The Grace Card“)… Enjoy the Podcast!
