The Broadway musical WICKED returns to Nashville for another extended engagement at Nashville’s Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC). The show will run nightly from March 26th through April 20th. Tickets are now on sale with an expected sell out for every performance. Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top
Concert Blast was invited to cover the 2014 Musicians Hall of Fame Ceremony and Show so Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson jumped at the chance to cover this annual event again. Unfortunately our main photographer, Brian Hasbrook, was out of town, so Mike Arnold and Concert Blast friend Allen Atkinson took over the duties. Those inducted were; Peter Frampton, Randy Bachman, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Capps, Barbara Mandrell, Ben Keith, Will Lee, Corki Casey O’Dell, Velma Smith, and Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble. The 2014 Iconic Riff Award went to Roy Orbison for the famous riff in his rock hit, “Pretty Woman”. The 2014 Industry Icon Award was awarded to Mike Curb who created his own record label at the age of 18 and gained national attention a year later. Others at the show to help with the ceremony were; ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Neil Young, Don Felder, Billy Cox, Steve Wariner, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Oak Ridge Boys, Duane Eddy, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Chris Isaak, and Brenda Lee. Concert Blast Ready For Day 3 of the Beale Street Music Festival
This Webisode continues with the Memphis In May Beale Street Music Festival coverage as we begin our final day of this fun festival. The day began with Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson attending a church service at Highpoint Church. Then the coverage picks up as we leave the hotel and arrive at Tom Lee Park to grab a bite to eat (thanks to our sponsor, The Best Around Concessions) before catching the media golf cart ride to the stage in the middle of the park, watching Brian head to the Photo Pit, and showing clips of the Vintage Trouble Concert before interviewing them. Vintage Trouble in Concert - Nashville, TN 10/18/2013
Vintage Trouble headlined the first annual Marathon Music Village Festival and Concert Blast was on hand to cover the fun activities. This one day festival on the cool October Friday night in Nashville, TN included various food trucks, multiple bands, plenty of merchandise booths, lots of beer, and a Bar-B-Que buffet for the VIP patrons. Concert Blast was given all access passes, which surprised us because we had full access to go anywhere we wanted… and we loved it! Enjoy the Vintage Trouble photos taken by Brian Hasbrook.

Vintage Trouble In Concert - Nashville, TN 10/18/2013
It was a cool October Friday night in Nashville, TN as the first annual Marathon Music Village Festival hosted the Los Angeles based, energetic rock/soul band, Vintage Trouble. Concert Blast was on site to produce another audio podcast concert review on this fun evening. “Troublemakers” (the nickname of their fan base) came in from different parts of the country and we met one fan from France. Country singer/songwriter Brian Milson from Odessa, TX was in Nashville recently and stopped by to see Concert Blast while on his media circuit of his anti-bullying campaign while promoting his song, “Nothing Grows In Shadows”. This song not only touches hearts, but the lyrics and melody reaches into a person’s chest and rips out the entire heart! Not only is the song very touching, but the video of this emotional tune puts the song over the top. Concert Blast in the Media Trailer at Memphis in May 2013
On this fourth Concert Blast Webisode we explain that during the opening night of the Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival, Sheryl Crow was the first of three acts for the entire weekend to refuse the photographers from taking concert photos of her show. The photographers in the media trailer were very upset on this decision and you will see and hear their rants about her. Brian Hasbrook explains the photo pit access while Tom Thompson and Mike Arnold pick on Brian for not taking photos of Sheryl from the middle of the crowd. Concert Blast Arrives at Memphis in May 2013 - Brian Hasbrook, Tom Thompson, and Mike Arnold
The co-hosts of Concert Blast (Mike Arnold, Brian Hasbrook, and Tom Thompson) arrives at the Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival. They introduce the show then head to a stage before getting kicked off of the back path (which they nicknamed The Media Path) and now they must walk through the crowd and the mud throughout the cold, wet weekend. The webisode finishes up at a wine tasting booth which Mike Arnold (who doesn’t drink) partakes in the various flavors. Enjoy this Concert Blast webisode!
