On Saturday July 7th, Ringo Starr turned 72 years of age. He spent the evening of his birthday working in Nashville, TN at the historic Ryman Auditorium as he performed with his All Starr Band to a Sold-Out crowd. On this tour, the band consisted of Todd Rundgren on guitar, Richard Page (Mister Mister) on bass, Steve Lukather (Toto) on lead guitar, Gregg Rolie (Santana, Journey) on Hammond B-3 Organ and Keyboards, Mark Rivera (Billy Joel) on saxophone, keyboards, and percussion, and touring drummer Greg Bissonette. Stevie Nicks In Concert
Stevie Nicks returned to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN on Tuesday, July 24th to perform as a solo artist this time around. As the opening act on the Rod Stewart / Stevie Nicks Heart and Soul Tour, the Fleetwood Mac singer and solo artist took the classic rock audience through a journey of her career and the musical life of a classic rocker! Mark Miller of Sawyer Brown In Concert - CMA Music Festival
Concert Blast returned to the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN once again to attend and cover one of the best and most organized music festivals in the world. The CMA Music Festival is a week long celebration of country music which brings in people from all over the world. There are fan club parties, free concerts in the streets and at Riverfront Park, the hotels and restaurants are packed with tourists, and who knows what star will make their way to the stage in the downtown bars. We always do our best to cover the Stadium shows of the top selling country acts, but we also try to participate in the other special events. This podcast covers the unique events. Every year since 2007, Concert Blast has made a trip to the CMA Music Festival held in Nashville, TN during the second week of June. We always try to cover every night of the stadium concerts, but we always try to cover some of the special events. Steve Winwood with Michael Franti & Spearhead Concert Fans
On Friday May 18th, Steve Winwood and his opening act Michael Franti & Spearhead performed a benefit concert for Radner Lake in Nashville, TN. The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel was extremely packed. If the show wasn’t completely Sold-Out, it was very close. In fact the general admission area in the back sold-out days before the concert and there were only a few reserved seats available.
