Fans From Australia - CMA Music Festival 2013
As we approached the last night of the CMA Music Festival 2013, we were sadden to see it all come to a close, but we were even more saddened to experience the sets that were shortened due to the threat of the bad weather which was approaching downtown Nashville, TN. This Sunday night Concert Blast staff consisted of Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson. And our guest Will Perry, as he substituted for the ill Brian Hasbrook. Listen to this podcast and/or read Mike Arnold’s blog on the coverage of this fun, but disappointed evening as we covered (in order) Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, Jake Owen, and Carrie Underwood.

Carrie Underwood In Concert - CMA Music Festival 2013
It was the final night of the CMA Music Festival 2013 at LP Field in Nashville, TN, as the best festival in country music comes to a close. On this night the Concert Blast staff of Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson, and guest Will Perry took the field for the coverage. On this night we didn’t have as many photos due to everyone’s set being cut short. Brad Paisley and The Band Perry performed only two songs while Jake Owen was allowed only one song. The headliner Carrie Underwood got to perform longer, but not her usual CMA Music Fest set. Why the short sets? Because the weather people predicted major storms coming, so they wanted to video all the acts for the upcoming ABC TV Special (August 12th) before the rain hits the stadium. Enjoy our photographs of our last night of fun at the stadium concerts.

There’s all type of fun from being with fans at the Riverfront Park and stadium concerts, watching the happenings on the street, and many other aspects of this annual event. Check out the photos taken by Mike Arnold, Tom Thompson, and guest Will Perry (substituting for the sick Brian Hasbrook) throughout the weekend.

Concert Blast Los Angeles Friends at the CMA Music Fest 2013 - Saturday 6/8/2013
It was night three, Saturday, during the stadium concerts that the CMA Music Festival 2013 got the biggest surprise on the history of the festival and Concert Blast was there to cover it. There were the guest hosts of the night with Willie, Jase, and Si Robertson from the popular TV Show, Duck Dynasty, but that wasn’t the biggest surprise. The Country Music Festival was turned into a rock and roll party as super rocker, Lenny Kravitz made an appearance to see how country fans liked rocking. They like it for about 15 to 20 minutes before they had enough and was ready to get back to the country side of life. Listen to this podcast (or read this blog) from Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson as they covered (in order) Florida Georgia Line, Lenny Kravitz, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, and headliner Keith Urban, not to mention the other surprise guests and the fans we talked with… ENJOY!

It was Saturday night, the third night of the CMA Music Festival 2013 stadium concerts, and of course Concert Blast was there to cover the shows… well Mike Arnold and Tom Thompson were. Brian Hasbrook called in sick for the remainder of the festival, which means that the excellent photos from Brian that we always rely on will be missing. Tom had to step in as the emergency photographer and Mike took a few shots as well, as we tried to capture our best of the night. Our photo work doesn’t compare to Brian Hasbrook or Samantha Shrader, but we did out best to give you our best photo coverage of the night. On this night of the CMA Music Festival we covered Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Kelly Clarkson (with her guests Trisha Yearwood and Jason Aldean), and the surprise guest performer of the night, Lenny Kravitz. The night was also co-hosted by Willie, Jase, and Si Robertson from the TV show Duck Dynasty. There were also some photos of two members of Little Big Town as they announced a performer taking the stage for the ABC TV special footage. Enjoy Tom Thompson and Mike Arnold‘s photos from Saturday night’s CMA Music Festival 2013.

The outside stages are free for all, but the intimate stage in the Music City Center (the Fan Fair area) had a ticket price with it, although the price was included if you had a four day stadium show admission ticket. Enjoy listening to this podcast of the various performances by (in order) Lady Antebellum, Marshall Tucker Band, Grits and Glamour (which is Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan), Mac Powell (of Third Day with his rockin’ country side), Lucas Hoge, Bo Bice (with friend Hollywood Yates performing together), Wynonna, Julie Roberts, David Nail and The Goo Goo Dolls (yes at the CMA Fest!).
